It's Valentine's Day
"Valentine's is a hard word for a Very Little Gremlin to spell."
Nobody's annoyed with Kevin. We're all internally screaming because he's trying so hard.
He'd spent ages practising:
"V... a... l... e... n..." *pauses, erases, tries again*
"...that's loads of letters...and an apostrophe..." *thinks very hard*
"I know!! I'll just shorten it!"
He's so pleased with himself. I don't have the heart to explain this disaster. I mean look at his little face.
"Kevin..."
"...yeah?"
"It's a difficult word, isn't it? Valentine's."
"I know!"
"You did your best."
"I did! Did you see what I made?!" *Beams Proudly*
"...We're just going to write this one out in full. Is that OK?"
"...because I missed an apostrophe?"
"..."
*Kevin looks, earnestly*
"..." A decision was made.
"...yes. Because you missed an apostrophe."
Kevin will be allowed to believe, for the rest of his little gremlin life,
that the apostrophe was the problem.
